EmpowerTulsa has partnered with Tulsa Public Schools to provide Check & Connect services. Check & Connect is a structured mentoring intervention designed to enhance student engagement at school through relationship building, problem solving, capacity building and persistence.

Check & Connect
Check & Connect pairs each student and their family with a mentor called a “Connector.” The Connector 1) meets with the student each week during school 2) tracks the students attendance, behavior, course performance, and social/emotional skills and 3) collaborates with the student’s teacher, parent, school counselor, and other supportive adults and 4) communicates with the parent each week.
